Inhabit®, a leading provider of software solutions for the residential property management industry, today announced the appointment of Sara Hinson as Senior Vice President of Platform Operations for its Residential Division. In this role, Hinson will lead the ResMan and Property Boss platform organizations and work closely with teams across the Residential business to drive operational excellence, platform innovation, and customer success.
Hinson brings more than 26 years of multifamily industry experience spanning property operations, technology strategy, operational transformation, and platform optimization. Her appointment reflects a continued investment in ResMan’s future and reinforces what has made the platform unique since its founding: ResMan was built by property managers, for property managers.
Unlike many technology leaders who enter the industry from the outside, Hinson has spent nearly three decades working within multifamily organizations, leading operational and technology initiatives, overseeing large-scale transformation efforts, and helping organizations improve performance through technology. She has also experienced ResMan from the customer perspective, serving as both a longtime customer and member of the ResMan Client Advisory Board.
“Throughout my career, I have found that some of the most impactful technology leaders are those who have lived the challenges our customers face every day,” said John Vingia, Chief Operating Officer of Inhabit. “Sara has spent almost three decades leading operational and technology initiatives within multifamily. She understands what it takes to operate at scale, how technology influences performance, and where our customers need us to continue innovating.”
Vingia added that Hinson’s appointment further strengthens the connection between customer needs, operational execution, and product innovation.
“Sara joins Inhabit with a unique combination of operational experience, technology expertise, and industry credibility,” Vingia said. “She has been a customer, an advisor, and a respected leader within multifamily. Her ability to understand challenges from both the operator and technology perspectives will help us continue delivering solutions that create meaningful value for our customers.”
For Inhabit and ResMan, the announcement signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter focused on enhancing the customer experience, accelerating innovation, and strengthening the platform that thousands of property management professionals rely on every day. Hinson’s background as an operator and technology leader aligns directly with ResMan’s longstanding commitment to keeping customers at the center of every decision.
“I’ve spent much of my career as both a customer and an advocate for technology that helps operators perform at a higher level,” said Sara Hinson. “Having worked closely with ResMan for many years, I’ve seen firsthand the impact the platform can have on an organization and its teams. I’m excited to join Inhabit, work alongside this talented team, and help shape the next chapter of innovation for our customers.”
Hinson will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Customer Operations teams to strengthen execution, accelerate innovation, and support the company’s long-term growth strategy. Her leadership arrives as ResMan continues to invest in platform enhancements, customer experience improvements, and future innovations that will be showcased in the months ahead, including at ResMania 2027.
As ResMan looks ahead, the company’s guiding principle remains unchanged: technology built by property managers, for property managers. Now, that vision will be led by one as well.
